Inspiring Cushion Designs

With a scatter cushion you can definitely add your own design touch and personality to a room.  These designs are so beautiful and will definitely make a statement on any couch.

Colour Splash

This Pet Sounds Cushion is part of the Folk Rock Cushion collection of Mini Moderns.  Mini Moderns is an interiors brand specialising in applied pattern launched by London based designers, Keith Stephenson and Mark Hampshire.  Stephenson described their collection as contemporary, soft with a modern twist.

Botanical Prints

These beautiful designs were done by photographer and designer, Clinton Friedman.  Clinton captures unique perceptions on camera and then translates these into beautiful products.  The cushions are made of 100% cotton and come in a choice of white, natural or seed cloth.

Iconic Design

Lorenzo Nassimbeni is the designer behind this unique cushion which is hand-printed and hand-made.  The image on the cushion is the National Mutual Life Association of Australasia building on Church Square in Cape Town, South Africa.  Inspiration was drawn from iconic South African buildings designed by renowned architect, Sir. Herbert Baker. The designs are based on original freehand drawings created in ink on paper.

Oriental Inspiration

These scatter cushions are in China Blue Chiang Mai Dragon.  Chiang Mai Dragon was originally derived from an exuberant 1920’s Art Deco era block print. The pattern is table printed on a linen ground.

Travel by Design

This range of cushions with old map designs is part of the ‘My Bearded Pigeon’ range by Cath Young.  The cushions have a vintage feel as she used old world map prints on organic fabrics.

These are only a few designs which I love.  Choose your inspiration and create your own décor statement.
