Knock Knock

I really love old antique doors especially those in bright colours.  Each one tell a different story and has its own history.  They are like an invitation for you to come and knock and see who lives there. 

The earliest records of a door are those represented in the paintings of the Egyptian tombs, in which they are shown as single or double doors, each in a single piece of wood.

The most ancient doors were in timber, those made for King Solomon’s temple being in olive wood, which were carved and overlaid with gold. (
